Step Into My Shoes is a family devotional resource from Compassion Canada created to take your family “on a missions trip”, without having to leave your home.

This resource illustrates how the Gospel shapes the way we live and think. We are inviting all our families with children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 to walk through this devotional at home during March Break (March 11-17).

Each step helps families walk in the shoes of Ugandan family Pastor Tom, his wife Nancy and their children and then invites us to follow Jesus’ footsteps—caring for children and for those in need. The experience invites us to choose one, practical way we as families can invest in children locally or globally, and to continue the journey by receiving a blog with prayer ideas and fun family ideas to live compassionately, together.

How do we start?

Get – If you haven’t received a devotional, you can get your free copy from the Harvest Kids Check In desk on Sunday morning.

Pray – Start praying now that the Spirit would be working in your family’s heart. A resource in itself is not going to change a heart but the Spirit will give us a gospel-shaped love and compassion.

Start – Pick a time and place to do the devotional daily with your family and start with Step 01: Let’s Start Our Journey
