And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” (Mark 1:17)
The call of Jesus Christ is to follow him and be transformed.
The true follower of Christ is not meant to be static. Christianity is not simply about checking off our church attendance week-to-week. We’re meant to continually deepen in our relationship with God and His Word, and seek first His Kingdom.
You are called to follow Christ, and we want to help you know what a Christ-follower does and how a Christ-follower grows!
WHAT DOES A CHRIST-FOLLOWER DO?
We believe there are 3 things which every follower of Jesus Christ must do
True followers of Christ abide in Jesus through studying His Word and prayer.
God has designed His Church as a body. Followers of Christ engage in His family.
Followers of Christ are compelled to share their faith and multiply it in others.
Matthew 5:14-16 | 2 Timothy 2:2
All of our discipleship at Hope Church focuses on helping followers of Christ ABIDE in him, CONNECT with other believers, and SHARE their faith with others.
“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28)
The aim of our ministry is to help you GROW into spiritual maturity.
One of the roles of church leaders and pastors is to help equip every Christian for the work of ministry and to move them towards maturity in Christ-likeness so that they would no longer be immature and fall prey to false doctrine and sinful conduct (Ephesians 4:11-16).
ARE YOU HURTING?
“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope…” (Romans 5:3-4)
Have you experienced or are going through a season of suffering, brokenness or hurt? Do you feel hopeless, lost, or stuck and need help to find healing in Jesus Christ?
No matter where you are in your growth as a Christ-follower, God’s Word tells us that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We want to help you approach our God who deals gently with those who are hurting (Isaiah 42:3) and heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).
Our biblical counsellors and pastors would love to walk with you and help you find healing through the power of God’s Word and see how our suffering is not meaningless, but rather, God uses it to produce something incomparably and eternally valuable in us (cf. James 1:2-4; Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
